Newland Payment Technology expands European presence with acquisition of partner NewNote’s terminal business in France and Spain

Newland Payment Technology, a leading global provider of payment devices and associated management solutions, is pleased to announce the expansion of its direct market presence in France and Spain through the acquisition of the payment terminal business of its partner, NewNote, in those countries. This strategic move marks a significant milestone in the company’s international growth plan, demonstrating its commitment to developing its footprint in the European market.

With the official opening of its European branch office in Spain, and the continued achievement of local market certifications for its devices, Newland NPT is increasingly well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of its customers with comprehensive solutions in this key region. Following the successful evolution of their long-term partnership in France and in Spain, both companies agreed that Newland NPT would take over NewNote’s operations in France, as well as some of its key software assets and direct management of major accounts in Spain. Integrating core elements of NewNote’s technological capabilities will help Newland NPT expand its end-to-end solution offer, providing customers with tailored software applications as well as a range of device-related services.

“With the expansion of our business operations in France and Spain, leveraging NewNote’s expertise and market presence, we are reinforcing our commitment to providing exceptional payment solutions to European customers,” said Marc Birkner, General Manager of the Europe Region at Newland NPT. “We are excited to welcome members of NewNote’s talented team to our family, and are confident that our extended offer will bring significant benefits to the market, further driving digital transformation.”

“The long-term partnership we have with Newland NPT in several markets in Europe and Africa is stronger than ever. With this latest initiative, both companies will be able to deliver enhanced payment solutions and better value to customers and partners across the broader region.” said Miguel Ferreira CEO of NewNote Group.

This deal underscores Newland NPT’s strategic goal to expand its global footprint and extend its capabilities in delivering secure, reliable, and user-friendly payment acceptance solutions. Building on the combined expertise of both companies, the partnership between Newland NPT and NewNote will enable the deployment of innovative solutions that facilitate digital transformation in Europe.
